Step 1: Measure the venue and approve the footprint
Mark a 10-by-3-foot footprint with low-tack tape. Preserve the venue’s required exit width, door swing, sprinkler clearance, and accessible path. Confirm that guests can pass through the opening without touching balloons or frame members.
Step 2: Assemble, level, and weight the structure
Build the structure exactly as the rental company or fabricator specifies. Tighten every connection, level the base plates, and install rated ballast before decorating. Cover ballast only after the final stability check; never hide an unverified base.
Step 3: Inflate by size and build modules
Create four-balloon clusters in planned sizes instead of inflating one color at a time. A useful starting ratio is 45 percent 10-inch, 30 percent 12-inch, 15 percent 5-inch, and 10 percent 18-inch or larger. Keep the reflective gold balloons sparse so each one reads as an accent.
Step 4: Anchor the visual weight
